The main building is well maintained.The restrooms and shower areas are nice and clean. The beach it's self is great for surfing and kite surfing if you are into that and it even has is own attraction the local "Wishing Tree" which you can place a wishing shell on.

Lighthouse Inlet Heritage Preserve

Lighthouse Inlet Heritage Preserve is located at the northeastern terminus of Folly Island and adjacent to Cummings Point. It is the perfect spot for viewing the Morris Island Lighthouse, surf fishing, beachside strolls, wildlife observation, and photography. The site also offers many diverse birding opportunities and is a regular site for organized bird walks. In addition to oceanfront land, Lighthouse Inlet Heritage Preserve contains marshland and maritime forest habitats that are home to diverse species of plants and animals. Portions of the property are nesting sites for threatened loggerhead sea turtles and threatened Wilson’s Plovers. Some of the grounds are also migratory stopover areas and winter roosting sites for threatened and endangered Piping Plovers.

Pirate's Cove Playground

Cute playground with a wooden gate entrance from the back side and front side. A nice tennis court and basketball court also bedside the playground. Two, clean, unisex bathrooms with a door for each that lock. Bathroom has a baby changing station. The playground is creative and pirate/nautical themed. There is a bench swing, two baby swings, and a tire swing. A long tube slide in the shape of a lighthouse. A boat shaped playground with monkey bars. The ground in the playground area is made up with wood chips, so it is not very good for wheel chairs or strollers. There are two spring based rockers, one is a seahorse, the other a dolphin.
